Dickidy Doo

I haven’t written a blog in a while because I’m not particularly inspired; I guess this is just a ‘filler’ blog. I’ve been content with my life – no sadness, no heartache, no craziness, no adventure, no real excitement. I guess when I got blackout drunk on Monday that was pretty adventurous, and exciting. After all, we did go sailing on a Beneteau yacht. Other than that, not much has been going on.

On Tuesdays we like watching Are You the One? On Wednesdays we like watching Ex on the Beach. Those days are pretty awesome. I sure like idiot reality television these days. Soon enough a new season of Geordie Shore  will be starting. I cannot wait!!! =D

More often than not, we are working. We work 50-60 hours a week, so time off is spent relaxing. I do try and get to the gym often or go for runs and stuff, but it’s pretty tough to get into a routine when you’re working splits or clopening shifts all week. Clopening means you ‘close’ the joint down one night, and ‘open’ it up the next morning (close + open = clopen). Clopening makes you tired and bitchy. Clopening is shit.

When all is said and done, I am satisfied with lift at this moment. We are saving a ton of money, and I really have no complaints. Traveling New Zealand again in early May will be dope, and I’m super stoked to head back to Canada in June.

It goes to show, just because I am in New Zealand, it doesn’t mean I’m living the dream or nothing. I’m just doing the daily grind, somewhere else.

I’m happy, Jess is happy. That’s all that matters.

Kuszy, outskie!<3

    I really liked this post.
I often think to myself about how being in a different, ‘cooler’, ‘newer’ place doesn’t mean you’re going to be happier in your life. Same goes for having a ‘better’, ‘more lucrative’ job, or a nice house, or living in a better neighbourhood. I really don’t think it adds to happiness.

Dude I totally agree. I’ve met a lot of really happy people who don’t have much.

    Thanks for the wisdom Kuszy!
